Try A Little Kindness

I loved the book The Ultimate Gift by Jim Stovall. I’ve taught Sunday School lessons on it and I even wrote down the twelve life lessons and carry them in my day-timer. One of the ones I try to remember every day is to do a kindness.

The Kindness items in my Fruits of the Spirit section in my store help me remember that.

Pray for the Fruits of the Spirit

More then earthly things, pray for the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit daily and at the same time ask God how you don’t reflect that characteristic. Also read the Beatitudes. God’s purpose is to make us more like Christ and to grow His church, not all the other things we may have on our wish list!

givitup has over 900 different products with your choice of the 9 Fruits of the Spirit on each: Christian Gifts

Kindness

I have wept in the night
For the shortness of sight
That to somebody’s need I was blind

But I never have yet
Felt a tinge of regret
For being a little too kind!

Christian actions

Make living your life with absolute integrity and kindness your first priority. Put others first, whenever possible. Be genuinely interested in the lives of other people. Look them in the eye and really focus on what they are saying. Care about them as individuals. Ask about their families. Listen! Listen! Listen!

Make your actions match your good intentions. Stand out from the crowd. Thank people. Send a card or thoughtful note. People will want to be with you and your life will be filled with joy and loving kindness.

Make it a goal that your home’s atmosphere is produced by your inward trust, constant joy in God, your peace, kindness and firmness, even when it’s not easy.
