Review of Finding Favor With The King

Author Tommy Tenney does an amazing job bringing the story of Esther to life and I very much enjoyed reading about what life in Persia and in the palace was like. 

What I had a problem with is he used the story to tell Christians how they could follow the steps she took to gain favor with the king to Christians finding favor with God.

I believe as a Christian I don't have to earn His favor. I already have it and it's not because of anything I've done. And the author didn't convince me of anything different.

It is a good read about Esther and her story though.
