Be Perfect

In Mathew 5:48 Jesus instructs us, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

To do this we must be transformed. To be transformed Paul says we must “renew our minds, so that we may desire the will of God – what is good and acceptable and perfect.” For our minds to be renewed we must read, study and meditate on the Word of God in the Bible.

Paul also tells us in Philippians 2; that this inner transformation of our nature will make us more like Jesus – humble obedience to God’s will rather then sin’s rebellion. We are no longer self-centered. We live with the mind of a humble servant of God to be about what is good and helpful to people around us.
