It is the application of Scripture that makes the difference in our lives. The meat of the Word is doing what God wants. We must allow our knowledge about God to be transformed into a knowledge of God.

J.I.Packer wrote, “If we pursue the logical knowledge for its own sake, it is bound to go bad on us. It will make us proud and conceited.” It can puff us up, leading us to try to impress others with our mastery of Scripture. But, unless we love other people and live according to what the Lord has taught us – the Bible says we are nothing.
