Satan is no gentleman

I once did a Sunday School lesson about a topic close to my heart. That I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Bible is the infallible word of God.

I used to wonder why people would believe everything BUT the Bible. And then I realized that it’s because Jesus is a gentleman and Satan is not!

Jesus does not force us to follow Him. He invites us, sets an example and then gives us free will. Satan has always been a deceiver. From the very beginning in the garden he has been twisting the truth around to cause doubts.

“Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' " "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

He is still deceiving people and the most effective way to do that is to cause doubt in God’s word. All the false religions, New Age, the ideas that money and material items are the things to go after in life, he is pushing. His time is short and he’s working hard. Unfortunately he’s doing a good job.

The world needs more people to seek God’s word, learn it and share it.
