1st John 5:1-2

1 John 5:1-2 “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born again because of what God has done. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children as well.
How do we know that we love God's children? We know it when we love God and obey his commands.”

I think John has made it pretty clear throughout this letter that the love of God and the love of man are inseparable. Remember Jesus said the two greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart and soul and strength and mind and to love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:28-31) John heard Jesus say this!
